Varsity Football · Varsity Football finishes season at 8-3 and Region Champs

The Westminster Varsity Football team finished the season with a record of 8-3 and repeated as Region Champs. The Wildcats defeated Pisgah in the first round of the State playoffs but fell to 3rd ranked Randolph County in the second round.  Westminster senior quarterback Jackson Billings had four carries for 22 yards in the first quarter before leaving the game with a high ankle sprain.

“I told the boys that this game was probably the most important game of their lives because the way they responded to adversity would be with them long after that scoreboard turned off. I couldn’t be prouder of the (13) seniors.” – Westminster Christian coach Louie LeBlanc
