Varsity Swimming · Girl’s Swimming wins 6A/7A State Championship


The Westminster Girl’s Swim team won the 6A/7A State Championship in Auburn on Saturday for the 4th year in a row! Your Wildcats stunned the 6A-7A swimming world, beating the nearest challenger, Auburn High School, by over 100 points, 290 to 181.

The stars of the meet were quadruple-gold-winners Rebekah Hamilton and Eboni McCarty, who each broke State 6A-7A Records in both of their events and each contributed to 2 relay Gold Medals!

Lauren McAdams and Jewel Krings each took a Silver Medal, in the 100 Backstroke and 100 Breaststroke, and each also contributed to 2 relay Gold Medals!

Also scoring points in individual events were Larissa Dowling, Hannah Krings, Amanda Dowling, and Natalie Byron.

Your powerful Wildcat Team captured all three relay events in convincing victories:
The 200 Medley Relay featured Lauren, Jewel, Amanda, and Eboni.
The 200 Freestyle Relay featured Jewel, Larissa, Rebekah, and Eboni.
The 400 Freestyle Relay featured Natalie, Larissa, Lauren, and Rebekah.
