Varsity Baseball · Spring Sport Senior Recognition: Michael Rorick

Michael Rorick is a member of the Westminster Baseball Team. He is the son of Julia Ramsey and Scott Rorick. Michael has played baseball for 12 years and has played for Westminster for the last 5 years. He has also played football and was on the swim team at Westminster. His favorite memory was beating New Hope last year to win Area. “The energy was insanely high and we were playing with more heart than I had ever seen,” says Rorick. His advice to the underclassmen is, “to give your all for every play and play like it could be your last time. Leave nothing on the field.” Coach Anderson says, “Michael came to the park fully focused. He always gave great effort and was a great encourager to his teammates. His creative yells and noises from the dugout with Coach Riley were always on point! His intensity on the field was always evident and appreciated.” His favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9. Michael plans to attend Mississippi State University in the fall and study kinesiology so that he can pursue a career as a physical therapist. Good luck Michael!
