Sarah Hardin is a senior on the Girls Tennis Team. She is the daughter of John and Tanya Hardin. She has played tennis for 7 years. Her favorite memory was, “two years ago when we were playing at sectionals. My doubles partner and I had played singles and doubles matches all day, and by all day I mean since like 8am and it was pretty late like at least 8pm. I had just finished a really long singles match and won. Then we beat Randolph in the doubles final even though we were exhausted and it was really late at night. So that year I won every match I played at sectionals and we qualified to go to state for the second year in a row.” Sarah’s advice to the underclassmen would be: “Make sure you have fun at every match because it really makes a difference and helps you stay committed. Get to know your doubles partner and have good chemistry with them because it makes a difference in how you play. Also, give every hit, point, game, set, and match your all because you never know when you’re going to play your last one.” Coach Christy Howell says, “Sarah Hardin started tennis lessons when she was in 5th grade and she has played varsity tennis since 7th grade. She currently plays #3. Sarah won the Area Championship at #3 doubles last year with Annalise Harrison as her partner. She has been to State 3 out of her 5 years on the team. My favorite thing about Sarah is her leadership qualities. She is a good communicator to the younger girls and assists me in communication. My favorite memory of Sarah is the team dinner at Ralph and Kacoo’s the night before the State Tournament her Sophomore year.” Sarah’s favorite Bible verse is 1Peter 5:7. She will be attending Auburn University in the fall to study marketing. Good luck Sarah!
